27th Annual Barrio Logan Grand Prix


A Fast and Unique Figure Eight Crit Experience

Join in the thrill of fast-paced bicycle racing by pro racers, top-level amateurs and a fun children's cycling event at the Barrio Logan Grand Prix, one of Southern California's largest cycling events. The race is open to men and women of all ages, from professional and Olympic level cyclists to first-time racers. BLGP is the proud host of the SCNCA Junior Criterium Championships!

The 0.8-mile race course takes place in historic downtown Barrio Logan and will begin and end on Newton Avenue across from Perkins Elementary School. Spectators will have access to numerous views of the racers along city streets in the Barrio Logan area throughout the day.

A free bike safety rodeo for kids will be held at 11:15 offering free helmets supported by Performance Contracting and Barrett Engineered Pumps. Bring your bike to participate in the free community kids race to the finish line at 1140!

Registration

Registration for the race is on BikeReg.com.  Race Day Registration is located at:

1824 Newton Ave.
San Diego, CA  92101

The Course

0.8 mile fairly flat, fast and challenging "figure eight" course through the streets of historic Barrio Logan, downtown San Diego.

Parking

Free parking for racers is available all day (6:00am-6:30pm) at the multi-level lot at:

1904 National Avenue
San Diego, CA 92113

This is 0.2 miles (2 min ride) from the registration desk and race course. Parking passes will be emailed out to all registered racers the day before the race to the email you registered with.

SDBC needs YOU! You can sign up for one or more of the many available jobs online. No registration or account is necessary and your e-mail address will not be shared with anyone.

Team Directors: There are a limited number of 10x10 VIP Canopy spaces near registration and the race course. Please contact the Race Director to reserve your spot - first come, first served. (No groups will be allowed into the BLGP Racer's Village for set up after all spaces are reserved.)

Because of changing insurance rules, city requirements, and efforts to reduce event liability, team canopies, support vehicles, and the like must be set up within the Racers Village. Team set-ups are not allowed on sidewalks/streets surrounding the race course and in the area covered by the City event permit.

Vendors: There will be premium opportunities for you to market your services/promotions with the community at the race venue. If you are interested in reserving a 10x10 space, please contact the Race Director (first come, first served).
