San Diego Bicycle Club's annual ride and camp weekend to Borrego Springs! Meet at the Mira Mesa Park & Ride (Mira Mesa Blvd & I-15) at 0800, leave your camping gear with a SAG vehicle and enjoy the ride to Borrego Palm Canyon campground.
Have dinner and swap stories around the campfire. After Sunday breakfast, return to San Diego via Montezuma grade. SAG support is limited to carrying your gear. You are responsible for getting yourself to Borrego.
Event is limited to 60 riders/sag drivers. Dinner and breakfast provided. Up to 10 SAG vehicles welcome. (Motor homes are not allowed in the group campground).
Route 1
Out: 78 miles, 6,200 feet of climbing
Back: 72 miles, 5,800 feet of climbing
Route 2
Out: 76 miles, 6,700 feet of climbing (including 10 miles of gravel – doable on road tires)
Back: 81 miles, 6,600 feet of climbing.
