Amazon Smile

Do you shop at Amazon.com? If so, it' easy for you to help SDBC receive donations from Amazon to SDBC. Just use the “Amazon Smile” charitable process in your account. Amazon Smile funnels a small percentage of their eligible purchase revenue to SDBC if you activate Amazon Smile in your account and choose “San Diego Bicycle Club” as the beneficiary nonprofit.

Instead of logging in through "amazon.com" you log-in through “smile.amazon.com.” Very easy to use. It is EXACTLY the same shopping experience. Nothing changes except SDBC receives contributions from Amazon.

Contact Joe at  joe.bernhardt@ocwheelmen.org if you can help out.

OCW will make a donation to SDBC if any of you choose to volunteer.

Tom Webb, Leon Mack Ralph Elliott.

The Center thanked SDBC for its many years of Toy Rides, and the joy brought to thousands of children served by the Center.  Officials there were enthusiastic about the possibility of the Club delivering new bikes for kids this Christmas season.  They supported the idea by saying bikes could be stored and assembled at the Center.

A Note From the Volunteer Director
San Diego Bicycle Club Bikes for Kids Volunteers Needed

In addition to delivering toys to the Kroc Center this December, we’re also looking into delivering fully assembled bikes.  We need a volunteer to identify brands of basic, no-frills entry-level new bikes for kids of various ages.  We’d start with contacting Specialized.  We’d then set a goal of funding a certain number of bikes (10?  25? or...)  The Board will work on raising money to buy the bikes, and the Bike volunteer will oversee ordering, assembly, and coordinate delivery of finished bikes.

If you are interested please contact me.  We can’t move forward on this without a volunteer.

Thank you,
Linda Webb
