The 2015 SDBC 1/2 team's Venge Elite bikes are available for sale.

UCC has agreed to sell those bikes to club members at deep discounted price for $1,999. These bikes are less than eight month old, and in great shape. They will be tuned by the shop before the final sale. Venge bikes are full carbon aero bikes. They're designed for SPEED. You can find the full specs here: www.specialized.com/venge-elite

The available sizes (quantity) are: 52(1), 54(1), 56(1), 58(4). Due to limited quantity, it will be first come first serve.

The deadline for Weekly Update submissions is Noon on Wednesday. Updates are published on Thursdays. Email submissions to weekly@sdbc.org Submissions can include anything from photos to race reports and results, etc.

Classifieds for bikes and cycling related gear can be submitted by any SDBC member. Your add will run for three weeks. In the event you have not sold your items at the end of three weeks you can re-submit the ad. Email your classified submissions to weekly@sdbc.org. Please provide any photos in the original size if possible.

UC Cyclery is our series title sponsor, which will provide onsite mechanical support and prizes.

Top six finishers in each category will be eligible to earn points towards series competition. Prizes and awards will be given to series winners at the last race of the season in November.

The registration fee for 20K is $33 for adults, and $17 for juniors. Fees for tandems and 40K are $45. All prices include processing fees. No other hidden charges.

A Ride to Point Loma

Expected high temps again! A nice ride down the coast to Point Loma, with a ride down & up Cabrillo Rd. Bring your Nat’l Park Pass if you have one to get others in.

Leaves UC Cyclery at 8:30, led by SDBC ride leader, with a coffee stop at Newbreak in OB before return via the bike path.

Bring 2 bottles of fluid, and be ready to roll at 8:30. A group pic will be taken and sent to you afterwards with ride write-up.

Last time was a lot of fun. Lets go for a repeat!

Dennis Lauzon - 1962-2015

Dennis Lauzon passed away on August 21, 2015. SDBC was a big part of Dennis' life. He really valued the friendships he made over the years, the rides, and club activities. Dennis was a life long friend of mine and will be missed.

• Sunday 9/13, 10am til? De Anza Cove with Dennis' Volkswagon enthusiast friends from when he had his auto repair shop. All are welcome.
• Sunday 9/20 All day (not sure of start time yet) At KOA Campground in Chula Vista. This is being organized by childhood friends, and all friends are welcome.
