The deadline for Weekly Update submissions is Noon on Wednesday. Updates are published on Thursdays. Email submissions to weekly@sdbc.org Submissions can include anything from photos to race reports and results, etc.

Classifieds for bikes and cycling related gear can be submitted by any SDBC member. Your add will run for three weeks. In the event you have not sold your items at the end of three weeks you can re-submit the ad. Email your classified submissions to weekly@sdbc.org. Please provide any photos in the original size if possible.

One report alone probably won't accomplish much. Tragically, police really have to be pushed to pursue these cases. But once they have more than one report on the same driver, and aggressive drivers are likely to be repeat offenders, that's a pattern, and even reluctant police may be spurred into action.  So don't take it lying down, get that report filed!

Next two weeks - alternate route for all SDBC rides

Because of Caltrans work on the I-5 Chute the next two Saturdays (June 18 & 25) we will be changing the route of the Saturday rides. Simply put...Go through UCSD and get over to Torrey Pines. Go down Torrey Pines grade - Watch your speeds. Take a right on Carmel Valley Rd and a left on El Camino Real. Resume your regular routes.

SDBC Racers Heading to the Nationals in Trexlertown

Please help us send our SDBC 1/2 team riders to Track Nationals in Trexlertown, PA, July 25 - 30. College students Roger Ainslie and Eric Geier are both nationally ranked cat-1 track riders. They are hoping to compete together in the Madison event, as well as the Team Pursuit along with two other SDBC riders Ryon Graf and Kenyon Ralph. The 1/2 team will help to cover race entry fees. Your support will help them to afford the air fare, and other travel related expenses.

SDBC is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Your donation may be tax deductible.

SDBC will match donations up to a total of $2000.

The Manchester Artesian Affair

49 miles, 3,375’ climbing with regrouping. Leaves UC Cyclery at 8:30, led by SDBC ride leader, Java Depot in Solana Beach by 11:30, back at UCC by 12:30.

Bring 2 bottles of fluid, and be ready to roll at 8:30. A group pic will be taken at the top of Highland Dr and sent to you afterwards with ride write-up.

Didier Sagan and Xavier Cany Participate in the Race Across the West

Didier Sagan is a member of the Men's Cat-5 racing team and both Didier and Xavier Cany share the responsibility of leading the "C" ride.

Didier, Xavier and their teammates have been participating in the Race Across the West (RAW) since Tuesday at about 12:00. Their team should be finished by the time you read this. They will have ridden 930 miles from Oceanside Pier to Durango, CO.

Below is Didier's email from the road shortly after 5 PM on Tuesday:

As you probably all know by now, I’m doing a bike race called Race Across the West: 930 miles from Oceanside, CA to Durango, CO.

We started today (Tue 6/14) at 12pm. We are going down montezuma as I write those lines (@4:30pm).

Here is some info If you’re interested in following me, Xavier and our team in the race:
Live GPS Tracking for 2016 RAAM and RAW is provided byTrackLeaders!  This will update on each racer/teams location every 5 minutes and hold a variety of viewing features.  The LeaderBoard, which includes the Time Station check-in times, time splits, and race prediction, is available through www.raceacrossamerica.org and RideFarther.com.  RideFarther.com will again be the main hub for ways to follow the race from GPS tracking, social media, RAAM media, and more.  In addition, all the links to follow the race are provided below:
